Yoga Training for School Teachers

Everything you need to know to successfully teach yoga to your classroom in 3 individual modules!

Would you love to teach yoga to your class but feel the majority of Kids Yoga Teacher training courses are not geared towards school teachers! Instead the focus is on individuals who want to develop a Kids Yoga Business!

In our 20 years of working with schools we have found that the majority of school teachers would love to learn how to use yoga, throughout the school day, to complement the academic syllabus.

The reality, however, is of not knowing where to start, how to use and when to use and WHY! Little Greene Yoga have a team of instructors who regularly teach in schools but now, for the first time, have tailored some of their teacher training course specifically for schools teachers.

If you are a School Teacher then you can choose a course below to help work with your class.

You WILL feel confident teaching yoga to your class, understanding the benefits and implementing in specific way to increase learning potential and more importantly help control your STRESS LEVELS!

If you discover you love your new “educational toolbox” then you can do additional modules.

If this new knowledge turns into a PASSION then the modules completed will count towards a certification in children’s yoga, if you choose to go down that route!

This way you get to dip your toe in to discover if this is something you’d like to take further. Either way we’re confident that taking that first module will be the best DECISION you every MAKE!

Yoga for the Classroom

What People Are Saying

I qualified in in the certified Foundation Years courses in 2010. I returned to successful complete my Alignment Based 8-12yr course in 2012.

Since then I have run private classes, after school clubs for the Primary school I teach in and also used in my classroom.

I love all aspects of how I can use yoga with my pupils. In 2015 Veronica trained some of her qualified instructors in “Yoga for the Classroom” and I was lucky enough to be selected for this trial training. This is the course I use the most. I will tap into the techniques when I’m wanting my class to change their energy levels and concentrate more. What I noticed is that it not only makes my job teaching easier but also helps me manage my stress levels, especially on the days when nothing seems to go to plan.

I believe this should be taught as part of the Teacher Training Curriculum!

It’s changed my life!

— Jennifer Johnstone

Qualified LGY (3-8yr) & (8-12yr) Instructor, London

I cannot recommend a Little Greene Yoga Children's Yoga Qualification enough!

I trained in the 8-12yr Alignment Based Yoga in 2016. At the time I considered leaving teaching and setting up my own business as a Kids Yoga Instructor. Since then I qualified to teach PE to Primary aged children and regularly use the techniques taught in my Yoga course as part of my PE classes.

There are so many ways that I incorporate yoga in my teaching - to help stretch after a running session; to help team work for the hockey teams using the partner techniques and even the games.

I actually learned more about the body and team work from doing my yoga qualification than my PE modules!

— Marge Munro

Qualified (8-12yr) Instructor, Jersey

“I am not a school teacher but qualified Foundation Years (3-8yrs) Yoga Teacher with Little Greene Yoga.

I don’t run private classes but do work in schools on many levels - Teaching Yoga in the Classroom; Teaching LGY Resilience Programmes & Teaching Yoga for Literacy.

I love what I do and using the Little Greene Yoga Schools programmes have managed to find a niche for myself working in many local schools. Veronica’s attention to detail and experience is so vaste that she is always able to offer support on any concerns I have with pupils.”

— Gillian Aitkem, Qualified Foundation Years Yoga Teacher, Scotland
